The Hawaiʻi County Police Department is requesting public assistance in locating 46-year-old Joshua Amaral of South Kona, who is wanted on an active arrest warrant.
Due to the nature of the warrant and current ongoing criminal investigation, Amaral, who is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. should be considered armed and dangerous.
Amaral is known to frequent the Kailua-Kona, South Kona, and Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision (HOVE) areas. He was last seen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, in the area of Paradise Drive and ʻŌhiʻa Drive in HOVE, where he was observed fleeing on foot from a residence.
Members of the public are strongly advised not to approach Amaral.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
