Effective immediately and until further notice, the Department of Water Supply (DWS) has issued a Water Restriction Notice for areas of South Kohala
A Water Restriction Notice requires affected customers to reduce water use by at least 25 percent. Irrigation customers are required to reduce water use by at least 50 percent.
The Water Restriction is necessary because of a prolonged lack of rainfall and ongoing dry conditions in the affected areas..
Status updates will be issued as necessary and made available on the DWS’ website, www.hawaiidws.org.
