Revitalize Puna Returns to Pāhoa This Month

The next Revitalize Puna event will take place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, July 12 at the William “Billy” Kenoi District Park Gym in Pāhoa.

The free event marks the 12th activation of the Revitalize Puna initiative — a community-driven effort to support long-term recovery and resilience in Puna following the 2018 Kīlauea eruption. Hosted in collaboration with Hawai‘i County Civil Defense, Council District 4, and the County’s Disaster Recovery Division, the event will feature:

  • Disaster preparedness resources and demonstrations from community organizations and Civil Defense.

  • Updates on Recovery infrastructure projects (roads and waterlines) and the Pohoiki boat ramp restoration.

  • Family activities, plant giveaways, and meals for the community.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Mayor Alameda, Councilmember Ashley Kierkiewicz, and other County officials who will be present to listen to resident concerns and share updates about progress on recovery efforts.

Community members are invited to register at: revitalizepuna12.eventbrite.com.
