Bail Increased for Kurtistown Man Indicted for Fatal Daniel K. Inouye Highway Traffic Collision

43 year-old Kimo K. Medeiros, 43 of Kurtistown recently appeared via video from Oʻahu Community Correctional Center after being indicted for a fatal traffic collision on Daniel K. Inouye Highway that killed a 47-year-old woman and a 3-week-old infant.

During the appearance his bail was increased to $2,055,010, and the scheduled to appear for a hearing on  for March 12, 2026.

If convicted Medeiros faces 12 charges, including manslaughter, negligent homicide, negligent injury, drug possession, DUI, reckless driving, and driving without a license.

The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Matt Woodward.
