Wind Advisory Remains in Effect for Portions of Hawaiʻi County

The National Weather Service Wind Advisory for Hawaii Island continues for North and South Kohala, North Kona, Ka`u, and Puna Districts..

A Wind Advisory means sustained winds of 20 to 30 MPH with gusts of at least 50 MPH are expected.

Due to the Wind Advisory, the public should drive with caution and be aware of debris, downed trees, and utility lines in addition to staying clear of downed utility lines.
