Big Island Hospitals Welcome New Yearʻs Day Babies

Big Island hospitals welcomed the arrival of babies born on New Year’s Day 2024.

Queen’s North Hawai‘i Community Hospital welcomed Kahilikaimana Lindsey-Lorenzo at 12:22am. The baby boy, who weighed 7 pounds and 12 ounces, was born to Teighen Lindsey and father Micah Lorenzo of Waimea.

Hilo Medical Center welcomed Jack Lipp at 4:50 a.m. Jack, who weighed 7 pounds and 4 ounces, was born to parents Mary Ott and Gavin Lipp of Mountain View.

Kona Community Hospital (KCH) announced the delivery of their first baby of the New Year at 8:05am. The unnamed baby girl was born to parents, Stephanie Sharrard and Jay-dn Kaluau Kalawa,
