COVID-19 Weekly Update

As of September 28, 2022, the State Department of Health reported 12,755  cases of coronavirus with 14 new COVID-19 related deaths statewide in the last week.. The following data includes reinfection cases recorded since the start of the pandemic.  Reinfections are counted as long as the second case occurs less than 90 days after the first was reported.

Statewide COVID-19 Counts:

Cases: 10,995 (Reinfections), 1760 (new)

Total Cases 355,952

New Fatalities: 14

Total Fatalities: 1,686

Daily Case Average: 164

Positivity Rate: 5.7%

 

In the last week, the DOH reports 167 new cases of coronavirus on Hawaiʻi Island.

 

Hawaiʻi County Counts:

Cases: 1073 (Reinfections), 167 (New)

Total Cases: 39,598

Daily Case Average: 13

Positivity Rate: 3.9%

 

Maui County Counts:

Cases: 1638 (Reinfections), 164 (New)

Total COVID Cases: 40,836

 

Kauaʻi County Counts:

Cases: 467 (Reinfections), 67 (New)

Total COVID Cases: 17,816

 

Honolulu County Counts:

Cases: 7747 (Reinfections) 1345 (new)

Total COVID Cases: 247,014
