The Area I Criminal Investigation Section is continuing to investigate a fatal shooting incident that killed a 12 year-old boy at the Camp Honokaia Boy Scout Camp on Sunday August 28. Interviews with children and adults present at the time of the incident are on-going. The case is currently classified as a coroner’s inquest. Police do not suspect foul play. Results of an autopsy performed earlier this week reveal the child died as a result of a single gunshot wound.
