Hawai‘i Island police are renewing their public request to help them identify a suspect responsible for a March 14 armed robbery at a Hilo pharmacy.
South Hilo Patrol officers responded to the Puainako Street business after callers reported a masked suspect entering the store with a firearm and then demanding prescription medication. The suspect then left the scene in a silver-colored SUV-type vehicle.
The suspect is described as standing 5ʻ6″ to 6 feet tall with a “stocky” build. At the time of the incident he was wearing long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and a tactical-type vest while his head and face were concealed.
The Area I Criminal Investigation Section is continuing this investigation, which is classified as a first-degree robbery.
