HONOLULU (AP) _ The National Weather Service says strong winds reaching up to 50 miles per hour will sweep across the Big Island's upper elevations.
Winds out of the east on the summits of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea will increase to up to 40 miles per hour tonight and 50 miles per hour tomorrow.
The winds are expected to taper off on Thursday.
Such strong winds can make driving difficult. And drivers are warned to use extra caution.
