Miss Hawaii Malika Dudley wins Miss Congeniality

HONOLULU (AP) _ Miss Hawaii Malika Dudley won Miss Congeniality at the Miss America pageant in Las Vegas.
The award is given to the contestant chosen by her peers as their favorite.
Dudley says she feels honored _ and that winning Miss Congeniality is better than having won the crown.
The other contestants say Dudley has an addictive smile and personality, that she is generous, helpful, energetic and uplifting.
They say she puts a smile on other people's faces.
The Miss America pageant brought the Miss Congeniality award back after having discontinued it for several decades.
The last person to win the Miss Congeniality Award was the Miss Hawaii from 1974 _ Coline-Helen Kanaloku Aiu.
