Heavy rain falling on Oahu and Kauai
|

HONOLULU (AP) _ Flash flood warnings issued for Oahu and Kauai are to remain in effect until at least 1:15 a-m.
The National Weather Service says on Oahu, heavy rainfall spread along the Koolau Mountains to the Nuuanu and Kaneohe areas.
The weather service says Oahu Civil Defense determined runoff from Lake Wilson will threaten Otake Camp in Waialua.
Spotters reported flash flooding from heavy rain near Wahiawa on Oahu.
The weather service says rain fell at more than three inches per hour in the Wahiawa and Mililani areas.
The weather service says heavy rain over Central Kauai caused a rapid rise in the level of the Hanalei River.
It says the highway at the Hanalei River Bridge will likely be closed.
A flash flood watch continues in effect for Niihau.
A flash flood watch for Maui County and the Big Island was canceled this afternoon.
