HONOLULU (AP) _ Attorneys for the unaccredited Hawaii College of Pharmacy are scheduled to meet today with representatives from the Hawaii Office of Consumer Protection.
The two sides will discuss a plan for a new investor to take over the defunct start-up school in Kapolei.
The school's assets were frozen after the state filed a lawsuit alleging the college falsely assured students it would obtain accreditation and wrongly took over six (m) million dollars in tuition from some 240 students.
James Kawachika, an attorney for the college, did not provide details about the investor.
Kawachika says the school could resume operations by October or November if the investors acted quickly.
