SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii (AP) Another Hawaii-based soldier has died in Iraq.
Army officials say Private First Class Stephen A. Castellano died Friday from a non-combat related injury in Mosul.
The 21-year-old infantryman was from Long Beach, California.
He was assigned to Company C, First Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment of the 25th Infantry Division based at Schofield Barracks.
Army officials say Castellano joined the Army two years ago and arrived in Hawaii in April 2003.
His death brings to 80 the number of armed forces members with notable Hawaii ties killed in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan since the war in Iraq began nearly two years ago. One civilian from Hawaii was also killed last year in Iraq.
