Suspected car thief arrested after caught napping

HONOLULU (AP) _ Police arrested a suspected car thief after an officer caught him napping in a stolen car. Police say the officer was responding to a suspicious vehicle call early this morning in Ewa Beach when he found the car parked with its motor running. After running a vehicle check, the officer learned that the car had been reported stolen. He arrested the 24-year-old man who was sleeping inside. Police say the suspect was also booked on suspicion of drug and drug-paraphernalia charges. (Copyright 2004 by the Associated Press. All rights reserved.)
