Man dies in scooter accident

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii (AP) — A man has been killed in a scooter accident that occurred on the Big Island. The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports that the accident occurred in Captain Cook on Thursday night. County fire rescue personnel found the man dead by the side of the road at Painted Church Road. Officials say he was not wearing a helmet and had severe head trauma.
