House budget vote deadline is today

(Ken Hupp-KPUA) Today is the day by which House lawmakers need to vote on a budget to send to the Senate. The House Finance Committee approved budget totals $23.3 billion for fiscal years 2014 and 2015. That measure is about $590 million less than what Governor Neil Abercrombie requested. Meanwhile, the House Committee on Education today will consider the Governor’s preschool proposals, which passed the Senate last week.
