Kona man charged with December burglary in Kailua

A Kona man has been charged with burglary for the December 17th break-in at a home on Onaona Drive in Kailua-Kona. Police developed a suspect, identified as 49-year-old Jerome Soares of Kailua-Kona, who was arrested Monday at the Kona courthouse and charged on Tuesday with first-degree burglary and second-degree theft. Bail was set at $35,000.
