Schatz names Hawai`i Field Representatives

U.S. Senator Brian Schatz has selected five of his field representatives to serve as community liaisons throughout the state, including one of two staffers for Hawai`i Island. The East Hawai`i Office will be headed by Marlena Castro Dixon, an Epidemiology Specialist for the State Health Department’s Disease Investigation Branch. Dixon graduated from Hilo High, then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s in Health Education from the University of New Mexico. The West Hawai`i position is in the process of being filled. Honoka`a-born Bryan Andaya will head the O`ahu office.
