Police seek missing Japanese National

Police are asking the public for help in finding a 51-year old Japanese National who was last seen shortly before 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 13 at Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park. Hiromichi Yoshino’s rental vehicle, identified as a burgundy-colored Kia four-door sedan was found unlocked and unattended Friday at the Lava Viewing Area at the end of Route 130. Authorities believe his vehicle had been there since Thursday and that Yoshino may have been staying at a bed and breakfast in Volcano Village.
