Couple injured in fall in Honoka`a

A man and a woman have been hospitalized with injuries suffered when they fell into a gulch in Honoka`a shortly before 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening. County Fire officials said the 42-year old man fell 60 feet into a steep gulch beneath the bridge at the 33-mile marker of Highway 19 and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The 27-year old woman, who had fallen 30 feet was in serious condition.
