Woman arrested in fatal Kaumana stabbing

Police have arrested a 37-year old Hilo woman in connection with the Monday morning stabbing death of a Hilo man. Cherie Sueko Moskwa was arrested last night on suspicion of second degree murder and is being held at the Hilo police cellblock while detectives continue their investigation. South Hilo patrol officers were summoned to the 1400 block of Kaumana Drive at 5:19 a.m. where they found 38-year old Lloyd Rubio with a stab wound. Rubio was transported to Hilo Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:11 a.m. Police ask that anyone with information on this case call the Police Department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311 or Detective Wendall Carter at 961-2378.
