HONOLULU (AP) — The Big Island will hold memorial services today for the late U.S. Senator Daniel Inouye. Inouye's office says a memorial will be held for the senator at the Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo with visitation at noon and the service at
1:00 p.m. Inouye will also be honored in memorial services Friday at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall in Lihue on Friday and Saturday at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center in Kahului.
About 1,000 people attended a service for Inouye at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu on Sunday. Inouye died a week ago Monday at the age of 88.
