Man charged in Puna murder

A 36-year old Pāhoa man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a Puna man whose body was discovered Sunday afternoon at his home in the Nanawale Estates subdivision. Jason Russell Jump was arrested Monday and charged Tuesday evening in the death of 54-year old James V. Johns Sr., who died from a brain injury caused by blunt force trauma. Jump was a tenant who lived in a separate building on Johns’ property.
