Police arrest 8 in disturbance at Kealakehe High

Kealakehe High School will not be in session today following Thursday’s arrest of 8 students. Kona patrol officers were summoned to the school around 1:30 p.m. following reports of an altercation involving 20-30 students. By the time officers arrived, the crowd had begun to disperse and the campus was placed on lockdown. Seven male students and one female student were charged with disorderly conduct, then released, and all after-school activities were cancelled. Police say no one required. medical attention.
