HILO, Hawaii (AP) — Two task forces have been formed in an effort to find two convicts who escaped from the Hawaii Community Correctional Center on the Big Island two days ago.
Hawaii County Police are warning banks to be on the lookout for the two because by this time they need cash.
Authorities also say the two — Jarvis Naoki Higa and Ryan James Jeffries-Hamar — could be armed.
According to Hawaii News Now, a dozen detectives and officers are looking for them on the Hilo side of the island. Another task force is set up on the Kona side.
Police say the two appear to have broken into a home and stolen food and clothes. They also say they tried to steal a car but failed.
