Police arrest 33 for drunk driving

The police drunk driving dragnet nabbed 33 motorists for driving under the influence during the week ending November 18, 2012. The latest arrests have pushed the year to date total to 1,305, which is now up 0.7 percent over the 1,296 arrested at this time last year. Major accidents are up 5.0 percent at 1,287 compared to 1,226 a year ago. The 36 fatalities are still double the 18 that had occurred at this time in 2011.
