Governor denies pressuring UH President

HONOLULU (AP) — Governor Neil Abercrombie's office says he didn't put any pressure on University of Hawai`i President M.R.C. Greenwood to reinstate Jim Donovan as athletic director. Greenwood's attorney claimed she faced pressure from Abercrombie in a letter that asked for a $2 million payout for her to be released from her duties. The request for a payout was later pulled. Donovan was put in a new post in the fallout from the school's botched fundraising concert.
