Police identify body found on Ka`u beach

Police have identified the body discovered at a remote campsite on Waikini Beach in Ka`u as 48-year old Terry Lee Day, who lived in the Ocean View area but had no permanent address. The victim was found on November 3rd dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, with hiking shoes and socks, a blue backpack and white grocery bags with empty food items and soft drink containers located at the campsite. Detectives say he may have died one or two weeks before he was found. Day was identified Tuesday afternoon (November 13) through dental records.
