WAILUKU, Hawaii (AP) — Maui police say an anonymous tip has led to the capture of a Maui Community Correctional Center inmate.
Police say 32-year-old Henry Rosenthal escaped Friday morning from a jail work detail at Lahaina Civic Center.
The Maui News says Rosenthal was captured Saturday night after police received a tip he was on an upstairs balcony of a residence in Lahaina.
Police records say Rosenthal was sentenced in August 2004 to a 10-year prison term for first-degree burglary. He also has convictions for theft, forgery, assault, driving without a license, criminal property damage and parole and probation violations.
