Police arrest 36 for drunk driving

Police arrested 36 motorists for drunk driving during the week ending October 28th. The year to date total now stands at 1,206, which is off 1.6 percent from 1,225 at this time last year. Major accidents are up 4.7 percent at 1,203 compared to 1,149 a year ago. And the Big Island’s 36 traffic fatalities are double the 18 recorded during the same period in 2011.
