Kea`au man charged in Puna break-in
|

A 29-year old Kea`au man has been charged with various offenses stemming from Wednesday’s break-in at a Hawaiian Paradise Park home. Police summoned to the scene, shortly before 11:45 a.m. found Ronald Keiki Lopes Jr. inside the house in the process of dismantling a solar powered system. They also discovered an ice pipe with residue and syringes that were visible on the front seat of the car Lopes drove to the scene. Lopes was charged with one count of first-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree promoting a dangerous drug, and two counts of prohibited acts related to drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $65,000.
