Couple charged in break-in

A Big Island couple has been charged in connection with Tuesday’s break-in of a home in Hawaiian Paradise Park. Police responding to a tip arrived on scene shortly before 5:00 p.m. where they found 31-year old Blaine L. K. Faris III of Honomū and 37- year-old Stephanie Michelle Christie of Kea`au inside the house allegedly in the process of stealing several items. Faris and Christie were both charged with one count of first-degree burglary and bail was set at $5,000.
