Hawai`i gas prices ease

Retail gasoline prices in Hawai`i declined in most areas over the past week for the first time in 11 weeks, according to the AAA Hawai`i Weekend Gas Watch. The statewide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded dipped three cents from the previous week to $4.41, which was unchanged from last month and 23 cents higher than last year. In Hilo, the average price rose by three cents from a week ago to $4.46 a gallon, which is seven cents more than last month and 15 cents more than this time last year.
