Autopsy confirms Japanese visitor drowned

Its official. An autopsy has determined that a Japanese visitor who was snorkeling in waters fronting a South Kohala resort on Kaniku Drive Monday died from saltwater drowning. Police say 35-year old Takashi Nakayama was unconscious when resort personnel pulled him from the water shortly after 2:00 p.m. and tried to revive him. Nakayama was taken to North Hawai`i Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
