Fire fighters battle Laupahoehoe fire

Firefighters are battling a brush fire that broke out Wednesday in the forest reserve above Laupahoehoe. The fire, which was reported around 12:30 p.m. is actively burning and has consumed an estimated 20 acres. A total of nine county and volunteer units were on scene trying to contain the fire by using bulldozers to cut fire breaks.
