No tsunami threat from Antarctica earthquake

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there was no tsunami threat to the Island of Hawai`i following an early morning earthquake near Antarctica. The quake, measuring 6.6 occurred at 2:32 a.m. Hawai`i time 425 miles northwest of the Balleny Islands at a depth of 6.3 miles. Again, an early morning earthquake near Antarctica did not generate any tsunami threat to the Island of Hawai`i.
