Big Island man charged in domestic violence case

A former Pahoa man has been charged in a domestic abuse incident involving a 19-year old Puna woman. 20-year old Ronsten Keone Andrade III was charged with four counts of abuse of a family or household member, and single counts of terroristic threatening, kidnapping, robbery, and interference with reporting an emergency or crime. Bail was set at $101,000. Police say Andrade assaulted the woman in the Hawaiian Beaches subdivision, took some of her belongings, and prevented her from leaving and reporting the incident to police.
