Hilo looks for upset in key BIIF showdown

The resurging Hilo Vikings will try to deal Kealakehe its first setback in league action when they host the Waveriders in BIIF gridiron action Saturday at Wong Stadium. The 4-0 Waveriders and the 3-1 Vikings will take the field following the 4:00 p.m. junior varsity contest. Saturday’s other game finds Ka`u traveling to Hawai`i Prep for a 2:00 p.m. encounter. The weekend action begins tonight at Wong, where Waiakea plays host to winless Kea`au beginning with a 5:00 p.m. junior varsity game and Konawaena visits Honoka`a with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
