Debris washes up near Kawaihae

More possible debris from the 2011 Japanese tsunami keeps bobbing up in Hawai`i waters. The latest is a large red light with Japanese writing discovered along the shore just north of Kawaihae Harbor. Kawaihae resident Kincaid Krizek and his son Curren
discovered the light bulb near sunset on September 26. Krizek said he’s talked with a University of Hawai`i researcher who told him that other light bulbs were found on Kauai and another in the ocean. A large light bulb with Japanese writing was also
found near Molokai on September 21
