Soldiers/students team up at West Hawai`i Veteran’s Cemetery

Soldiers from the Oahu-based 1st Battalion 21st Infantry (Gimlets) will join students from University of Hawai`i at Hilo and other volunteers on Saturday September 29th to plant native Hawaiian plants at West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery. The Soldiers have been training at Pōhakuloa Training Area for about the last two weeks. Every unit’s training rotation to the Big Island usually includes a community service project.
