Waveriders, Wildcats, Warriors remain unbeaten

Kealakehe stands alone in first place atop the BIIF gridiron Division I standings. The Waveriders improved to 2-0 Saturday with a 43-29 victory over visiting Hilo High, which fell to 1-1 with the loss. Saturday’s other contest saw visiting Konawaena rout Kohala 76-0 to improve to 3-0 and remain tied with Kamehameha atop the Division II standings, as the Warriors whipped Hawai`i Prep 24-6 Friday in a battle of 2-0 teams. Friday’s other contest saw Honoka`a crush Ka`u 54-0 in a matchup of 0-2 teams
