Waiakea High School to receive new track

Waiakea High School will soon be getting a brand new track and field to replace its current facility, where frequent rain has caused safety concerns. The school has received funding from the Department of Education for design and construction of an all-weather track and field facility. The project will cost a little over $2 million. The start date of the project has yet to be determined.
