HONOLULU (AP) — Third Eye Blind fans shut out of an oversold Honolulu concert will be getting refunds.
Concertgoers waiting for Thursday night's concert were told the venue reached capacity.
KITV reports that according to promoter BAMP Project, they were given documentation to make them believe they undersold the maximum capacity for the event. But fire officials turned some ticketholders away when the venue reached capacity.
The Republik is a fairly new concert venue.
The promoter apologizes to affected fans and says refunds will be available, but minus service fees.
The rock group promises on Twitter a concert in a park sometime Friday to make up for the incident.
