Brief power outage hits North/West Hawai`i

More than 5,700 customers were briefly without power Tuesday evening. Hawai`i Electric Light Company says Hamakua Energy Partners tripped off line at 6:21 p.m. affecting customers in the Kamuela, Kawaihae, Kona and Waikoloa areas. Helco says additional generators were brought on line and power was restored to all customers by 6:38 p.m.
