A number of key county races will be decided in a November 6th run-off. Mayor Billy Kenoi will face former two-term Mayor Harry Kim for the county’s top job after finishing one-two in Saturday’s primary, but each fell short of the 50-percent plus one vote total required to win outright. In the race for County Prosecutor, head County Attorney Lincoln Ashida came within one-percent of an outright victory, and will face deputy prosecutor Mitch Roth in a run-off. Meanwhile, four of the nine county council races will go to a run-off and will include council incumbents Brenda Ford and Fred Blas. Winning outright were current council members J. Yoshimoto and Fresh Onishi, along with newcomers Zendo Kern, Dru Kanuha and Karen Eoff.
