Anglers gear up for Kona’s showcase billfish tournament

KONA–The 53rd Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament invites visitors and kamaaina to its Billfish Parade this Sunday, August 12, beginning at 4:30 p.m. The parade will begin at the King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel and wind its way through Kailua Village ending at Hualalai Road.
The HIBT parade will feature all 40 teams this year, including crowd favorites and new to HIBT Russia and Portugal teams. Of course there are also great teams from US, including California, Hawaii and North Carolina. Also included in the parade lineup will
be Miss Billfish 2012, Grand Marshal Bob Herkes Kona Japanese Civic Club, Kealakehe Ukulele Club and so much more!
