Traffic fatalities identified

Police have identified two men who died recently from injuries sustained in a pair of one-vehicle crashes in Ka`u. 25-year old Steven Gross of Hilo died July 29th following a July 23rd accident on South Point Road, where his northbound vehicle ran off the right side of the road 5.5 miles south of Kamaoa Road, struck a utility pole and overturned several times. And 39-year old Clint Corfman of Kurtistown died August 2nd, just hours after his southbound vehicle ran off the left side of the road and overturned midway between the 48 and 49- mile markers on Highway 11. The Big Island’s traffic death toll for 2012 now stands at 24.
