Kona man arrested again for driving stolen car

A Kona man, out on bail after an arrest last month for driving a stolen car was arrested on Wednesday (August 1) in another stolen vehicle. An off-duty Honoka`a patrol officer observed a Honda Accord being driven recklessly on Highway 19 around 6:30 a.m. and followed the vehicle until it came to a dead stop on Palikekua Street and the driver fled on foot. A tip by area residents led police to 22-year old JessemTravis Ralston of Kailua, who was charged on Thursday with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, theft and reckless driving. Ralston was charged with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle after being arrested on July 19th.
