KEALAKEKUA, Hawaii (AP) — Big Island police are investigating a 3-month-old girl's burns and bone fractures as a case of child abuse.
The Kealakekua infant has been transferred to a Honolulu hospital, where she is being treated and is listed in good condition.
Police say officers were called to Kona Community Hospital last week when the infant was admitted for burns reportedly caused by a hot bath.
Honolulu police and child protective services are also helping with the investigation.
